巴塞罗那看中了博卡青年的组织型后腰伊凡-巴内加（Ever Banega），这间西甲豪门有意在明年夏天把这位阿根廷希望之星带回诺坎普。

西班牙媒体《每日体育报》透露，阿根廷新星巴内加已经成为巴萨下赛季的引援目标，不过如果巴萨想成功得到这位阿根廷新星，那么他们必须击败包括米兰双雄在内的多间欧洲顶级俱乐部。

维拉里尔在上周与博卡青年讨论里克尔梅的转会时，曾要求博卡把巴内加作为交易的一部分送到“黄色潜水艇”，但是维拉里尔的这个要求遭到博卡的拒绝。而为了得到里克尔梅，博卡将向维拉里尔支付接近1000万欧元的转会费。

除了西甲的巴萨和维拉里尔外，意甲的米兰、国米和尤文都对巴内加十分感兴趣，博卡俱乐部主席马克里曾透露，米兰曾出价700万英镑（约合1000万欧元）求购巴内加，不过博卡方面拒绝了米兰的出价。

“SOMETIMES I CAN’T BELIEVE IT, I’M NOT CONSCIOUS”

THE TALENTED MIDFIELDER YOUTH OF BOCA JUNIORS

MADE HIS DEBUT IN THE FIRST DIVISION EARLY THE

CURRENT YEAR AND WAS CHAMPION OF AMERICA WITH HIS

CLUB AND OF THE WORLD WITH THE U-20 NATIONAL TEAM.

HIS LIFE CHANGED SUDDENLY THOUGH HE IS AS HUMBLE

AND STRAIGHTFORWARD AS USUAL.

 

The stands of the training field of the Yellow House are

packed. Most of them are students of a school who have

attended to watch the practice of the team of the First

Division of Boca Juniors with the illusion to see their idols very

closely. The stars who every Sunday do their most to give joy

to their supporters and who have conquered for the sixth

time Toyota Libertadores Cup two months ago. The small

spectators went with their elders who were also enthusiastic

to be near the footballers and all of them stretched to touch

the cracks and get an autograph or a photo.

 

The regular players have already defeated the substitutes

during the training session and they are leaving the dressingroom.

When Banega appears, the shout of “Ever, Ever”

sounds loudly from the stands and the youth only 19 years

old stops, takes the pens given to him and with a smile signs

shirts, balls or papers because supporters choose different

trophies to take home.

 

This was not possible half a year ago. The youth born in

Rosario on 29th June 1988 was unknown. But early this

year his life started to change. His performance in the U-20

South American with the Youth National Team made him

popular and very soon Miguel Angel Russo helped him to

make his debut at the Premier Division of Boca. From there

on, he made a great progress. He was the owner of the

midfield “xeneixe” with his talent and became the figure

of the champion team of Libertadores and of the National

Team which won the World Youth Championship in Canada.

Two achievements that every footballer dreams to win in his

lifetime and that he made true in scarcely a month.

How did you live such success in so short time?

I’ve never thought that it would be so fast but I intend to take

it easy. I can’t stop I have to continue working and growing.

I’ve never thought to play the South American with the U-20

National Team and then when I came back I made my debut

in the Premier, something unexpected. Luckily, Russo gave

me the opportunity and I took advantage of it.

 

Any special message of the coach at that time?

To play quietly and he let me know that he believed in my

skill. He supported me all the time.

 

You had to replace Fernando Gago with the board of

“successor” in the midfield. Was it an extra pressure?

No, I knew that to be in the first team had a reason and it

was not necessary to think who had played in it before. I had

confidence to do my best for Boca.

 

The jump to the First Division was at the beginning of the last

Closing Tournament on 10th February 2007 and four days

later, Banega was wearing the blue and gold shirt during

the first commitment of Libertadores Cup, tournament where

he played all the games (the other privileged player was

Claudio Morel Rodríguez) and finally remained on the glass

Has any debut make you nervous? What did it mean

to play before a packed stadium and such special

tournament?

No, it was just anxiety. I ‘m not usually nervous. I’ve always

been calm when it comes down to play a game.

 

How do you get along with your elder companions?

I listen to them because they have experience and know Boca

very well. They help me never to stop and continue working.

 

Is it precisely something that may happen to you at this

moment?

Senior players intend to give advice to the juniors to help us

continue the practice and never give in because the prestige

of the team and of every player is at stake.

Footballers who have had the chance to wear the Argentine

shirt in any category and train at Ezeiza’s Sporting Complex

always emphasise that this experience has marked them both

personally and professionally. Banega is not an exception.

In truth, when I was told to train in Ezeiza, it was like a dream

coming true and a great joy not only for me but also for my family.

 

Do you remember when you were first appointed?

I was in the Yellow House, after a game of the Reserve against

Vélez. I was happy and on Tuesday I started to train.

 

How did you tell your family?

I remember that they were very happy. It was very nice. It was

my long-awaited dream. Firstly, to be in a club and then in

the National Team. But it all happened gradually. Luckily, the

dream came true and I was able to take advantage of it.

 

What was it like when you knew that you were in the

squad for the World Championship?

I was calm because I had to do my best at the finals of

the Libertadores with Boca first. Then, it was the time for

the National Team which was something equally important.

Luckily, I was successful and I played and was a champion.

It was really wonderful.

 

Are you conscious of the success with the National Team

or not yet?

It takes time to be aware but it was a remarkable victory. We

made up a very close group, did our best and fulfilled our

objective.

What is the contribution of the National Team to your

career and mainly the people who work with the Youth

National Teams led by Hugo Tocalli?

Tocalli gave me a chance to take part in the South American

and it was important because then on my return, Russo

called me for Boca. It was a key moment.

 

What was the secret of the Youth National Team? Because

you did not spend much time together...

We worked together for a week and flew to Canada.

Teamwork was the best since it was made up gradually and

it improved all along the games because we had not had a

good start.

 

And it is not easy to make up good teams when there are

so many figures like those of the squad...

It maybe. It is true that most of them were in the First but it

was a normal experience for us and had to take advantage

of it. We had experience and skill and we used them.

 

How did you handle your popularity in all the mass media

worldwide?

I wished to be better every day and worked to fulfil our objective.

My attention was not on my rivals or the press from abroad. I

was calm ready to play in the National Team and welcomed

every recognition but I concentrated in the National Team.

 

The chance to share a tournament with youth from some

other countries with different cultures has been an

enriching experience...

I think that my life is giving a great jump, in my career

because I have lived it in half a year and it doesn’t happen so

often. Sometimes I can’t believe it, I ‘m not conscious.

 

Do you dream with the Senior National Team

or is it too soon?

I think that it is too soon; I’m young and I’ve to

get more experience.

a bus to go from home to the practice. But

his football success came hand in hand with

the recognition of the people because he is

transport: he bought a car to arrive calmly at

the practice.

 

How do you feel now that you are popular?

As time goes by, people stop me in the street

and it makes me happy. Sometimes, it may seem

annoying but we know that some people feel touched to meet

a player. I have lived that experience too.

 

Who did you stop to get an autograph or a photo?

I did not do it much but when I was in the lower divisions and

watched the practice, I went mad.

Ever is a player with a great technique who handles the ball

very well and he is very intelligent in spite of his age and short

career. It is surprising to see him playing in the first of Boca

without feeling any pressure. He adapted himself very well

and also to the National Team. No doubt, if he continues his

performance in Boca, many teams will intend to hire him.

Also, he has all the qualities to become an idol in Boca,

something difficult for every player. Anything to correct? I

think that we all have to improve every day and I hope that

he himself will discover how to continue. He has all the future

ahead and has already given key steps.
