Barça find goals again
The 'azulgrana' team did not take long to open the scoring, as Saviola took advantage of a ball from Reiziger and a failure of the vallisoletana defence. Al equipo azulgrana no le costó mucho inaugurar el marcador, ya que Saviola aprovechó una internada de Reiziger y un fallo de la zaga vallisoletana. Pese a las bajas, el Barcelona jugó con una comodidad insultante durante la primera mitad. El equipo de Fernando Vázquez, desprovisto de conexión y de consistencia defensiva, dio muchos espacios a su rival. Así, Ronaldinho aprovechó la debilidad local para plasmar en el marcador la superioridad azulgrana con el segundo tanto. Con una reacción más anímica que cerebral, el Valladolid intentó cambiar el estado del partido tras el descanso con un cambio de sistema, pero también con tres centrales naufragó en el centro del campo. Con el partido dominado por el Barça, Losantos Omar expulsó a Ronaldinho por doble amarilla. Un gol de Oscar González revitalizó el partido.
