Intense work-out

Tactical session to prepare for the clash with Villarreal

The team's injured players are gradually recovering. Robben, Soldado, Metzelder, Balboa and Torres rejoined the team and worked without problems. The squad tackled an intense session to prepare for their forthcoming complicated match against Villarreal.
It is inevitable for there to be a good atmosphere when things go well. As usual, the team was in high spirits today, especially because it is Robinho's 24th birthday. The Brazilian was wished a happy birthday by all his teammates. Robben joined the rest and jogged without feeling any pain, giving signs of being recovered from the strain he suffered from. Soldado did the same, as he is now completely recovered from a fibrilar tear. Metzelder has left the plantar fasciitis he suffered from for weeks behind.
The good news today was that Wesley Sneijder, who recently suffered from severe cervical pain, trained on the pitch with recovery expert José Luis San Martín. The rest of the injured players -Heinze, Pepe and Saviola- worked out in the gym. They will have to wait a few more days to join their teammates.

Physical and ball exercises
The session began with everyone jogging, stretching and doing endurance exercises with physical coach Jordi García. The men played a game similar to catch.

This was followed by ball work, consisting of a physical course in which the players had to control the ball while sprinting. Robinho stood out with amazing skill and was cheered on by his teammates.
High spirits
The team is in very high spirits after its victory at the Calderón last week, but the players don't forget that there are still many games left in the competition. They continue to work intensely to avoid losing their concentration and to continue performing as well as they have been doing so far.

The Whites defeated Villarreal 5-0 earlier this season in an excellent match. The Bernabéu will be packed on Sunday to greet Villarreal, who are currently one of the strongest sides in the competition.

Sneijder participates in the last session before Villarreal come to town

Metzelder, Balboa, Soldado, Robben, and Miguel Torres rejoined the squad over the course of the week, and today Sneijder participated in a final technical and tactical session before tomorrow's clash against Villarreal.
A red-hot Villarreal will be welcomed by the Santiago Bernabéu on Sunday, but Pellegrini's squad is well-aware that Real Madrid have yet to lose a home match in Liga action this season. In order to knock off the Yellow Submarine fresh of a 3-0 victory over Valencia and a 0-0 Cup draw against Barcelona, 21 Madridistas were on hand for the final session before tomorrow's clash. Early emphasis was placed on technique -passing, trapping, touching, and controlling-, while tactical aspects closed out the workout.
Following a 48-hour break, Real Madrid's sick bay had four days to clear out. Several injured players -Robben, Metzelder, Balboa, and Soldado- kicked their respective injuries over the course of the week and are now training with the squad without incident.

Miguel Torres' sprained right ankle is also a thing of the past, and Pepe made his way outdoors today for the first time since tearing his right soleus muscle against Atletico Madrid. Javier Saviola focused his efforts in the gym this morning, and Heinze was on the turf jogging with fitness expert Santiago Lozano

Injuries have plagued Real Madrid in recent weeks, but luck is shining down on the Spanish capital and the Madridista sick bay has cleared out. Metzelder, Balboa, and Robben have found their way onto the most recent squad list, as have Miguel Torres and Wesley Sneijder. Pepe, Heinze, and Saviola, however, are still out of action, and Mahamadou Diarra is away on international duty.
