River Plate have rejected a £2.68 million bid from Russian outfit Spartak Moscow for midfielder Luis Gonzalez.
The South American club have already turned down a £1.88 million offer from Spartak as they are holding out for over £3 million for the star.
Gonzalez proved his worth in River's 4-1 Copa Libertadores victory over Paraguayan outfit Libertad netting two goals in the game.
"I really don't know anything about the transfer," said Gonzalez.
"The club's board members told me that there was an offer but they didn't tell me what they decided.
"I am very comfortable at River, so if I am not sold I won't have any problem."
Despite River rejecting the bid, Gonzalez's agent Jorge Cyterszpiler is confident a deal will go through.
"We have a very good offer for River from Russia and I am sure that the club will accept it," he said.
"Maybe what we have to arrange is to let the player stay at River until June."
