马竞获《马卡》特别贡献奖，将帅俱开颜
由于上赛季夺得欧联杯与欧洲超级杯，马德里竞技被《马卡报》授予特别贡献奖，而球队头号射手法尔考由于在欧联杯上的优异表现，也受到了嘉奖。
球队主帅迭戈-西蒙尼发表了自己的看法：“我感到实至名归，我们所获得的冠军很重要，马竞配得上这些。”西蒙尼同时也对本赛季的前景做了展望：“我们只考虑下一个对手瓦伦西亚。要达到巴萨或皇马那个级别，我们需要在内部实力和经济实力方面都有提高，我们需要不断的赢球来达到这些。”

Atlético received a special mention at the MARCA Awards for its Europa League title. Diego Simeone, the 'Rojiblanco' coach, had this to say about the award: "I feel like I belong, and these titles are important because of the way I feel about the club."
Simeone also gave his view on this season: "We're only thinking about Valencia, which is our next game. To reach Barcelona and Madrid's level, we have to improve internally and financially, and we need to win to do that."

El Atlético recibió una mención especial en los Premios MARCA por su título en la Europpa League. Diego Simeone, entrenador rojiblanco valoró este premio: "Siento pertenencia y estos títulos son importantes por mi sentimiento hacia el club".
Además, Simeone opinó sobre esta temporada. "Sólo pensamos en el Valencia que es nuestro próximo partido. Para estar a la altura del Barcelona y del Madrid tenemos que mejorar internamente y económicamente y para eso hace falta ganar".
