Atletico's first team visit children admitted to different hospitals in and around Madrid
The rojiblancos show, once again, their face of solidarity
Like every year, players from the first team at Club Atlético de Madrid visited several hospitals in the Madrid region to share a few hours of joy and enthusiasm with children who have to stay in hospital for Christmas.
On Thursday 3 January Atletico called at several hospitals, visiting each of the rooms in which the youngsters were awaiting the arrival of their idols loaded with presents, signed photographs and words of encouragement.
The Atletico Madrid Foundation organized the visit of Atletico players and some of the players of Atletico Madrid Ladies team, in collaboration with the Volunteer Club, helping with the distribution. Players visited the following hospitals: Gregorio Marañón, La Paz, Niño Jesus, Doce de Octubre, Montepríncipe, La Concepción, Ramón y Cajal, San Rafael and San Carlos Clinical Hospital.

Cholo de calendario
Atlético Madrid presentó su almanaque solidario y Diego Simeone resultó el elegido para la portada. El plantel del Colchonero posó con chicos y ancianos apoyando a distintas instituciones benéficas de la ciudad.
La Fundación Atlético Madrid presentó, como cada año, su calendario solidario 2013 y le dio la bienvenida oficial al año con los deseos de Diego Simeone y sus jugadores para encarar la segunda mitad de la temporada. El Cholo estuvo presente junto al presidente del club Enrique Cerezo en el lanzamiento, realizado en el Salón VIP del Vicente Calderón, y tuvo un doble honor ya que su imagen será la que ilustre la portada del calendario.
Así mismo, en cada uno de los meses de esta edición, que fue confeccionada por la Fundación Catalina Hoffman, puede verse a los distintos integrantes del plantel rodeados de niños y personas mayores. La idea es clara: lograr una mayor difusión de instituciones benéficas y darles apoyo colectivo desde el club. La temática central del trabajo es la familia como elemento natural y fundamental para la construcción de la sociedad española y mundial.
