Simeone: "I am delighted by the reaction of the team"
"We need to continue on this path," said the Argentine coach
Diego Pablo Simeone was very satisfied with the work of his team: "I am delighted by the reaction of the team and how they played a game that was initially even.In the first half, after the first 25 or 30 minutes, the team found their way in to the game and then got better as the game went on, leaving us with 37 points."
The Argentine spoke of the extraordinary game of Falcao and his historic feat of five goals: "I'm happy for everything that happens to him. Atletico Madrid's enjoying him, his fans love him, and his teammates respect him. Today is a historic day for him. I do not know if any Atletico Madrid player will score five goals in a game again. I hope so. Falcao is ambitious and he always wants more."
The Argentine also had words of praise for his other two strikers: "Diego Costa is a player we need to be competitive. He is a powerful striker, and transmits fear in opponents due to his aggressiveness and intensity in his game. With Falcao and Adrian, who is recovering and is getting better every day, we have a set of forwards that allow us to be in the situation where we are,” he said.
The Argentine coach believes it is too early to talk of fighting for the league championship, "When there are five or six days to go in the championship we will see whether we are able to challenge. Today we have to be guided by what has brought us to this position, which is not looking beyond what comes. The league is very long and difficult. We need to continue on this path. Our goal is to exceed what we did last season," he concluded.

Falcao: "I’ve never scored five goals at the professional level, I am very happy"
The Colombian states that "I have a great squad that is really helping me to evolve as a professional"
Radamel Falcao García left the changing room with a smile from ear to ear and the yellow match ball signed by his teammates. The Colombian said to the media that "I am very happy for the great game we played, by the way we play and also the goals. I thank God for this. It is unforgettable."
He did not know that the five goals he scored against Deportivo entered him in the history of Atletico Madrid. "I just found out. I was very excited when I came to Atletico Madrid. Last Tuesday the 4th the Colombian goalkeeper Miguel Calero died. The 'Tiger' fellow remembered him saying "before the game I had given much thought to dedicate what I did tonight to Miguel. I was able to share a dressing room with him in the senior national team and has marked us all and has left a big gap in our hearts.

Atletico win 6-0 to Deportivo with five goals from the Colombian
Atletico recorded a stunning 6-0 victory against a Deportivo de la Coruna thanks to 5 goals from Falcao and fantastic offensive performance from Atletico. Atletico took their eighth league win of the year at the Calderon and the highest scoring team at home in the League.
Playing at the Vicente Calderon has become a tough challenge for visiting teams. No one has managed to take a single point in the rojiblanco fortress so far this season. The rojiblancos soon went about their work with two early chances by Koke.Thenumber 6 then turned provider with great vision and quality in the final pass.
Koke was rampant, well supported by his teammates in midfield, and it was a matter of time that the front players would take advantage of their chances. The first goal came from Diego Costa. The Brazilian rose at the far post to head home from a corner in the 21st minute.
Deportivo looked to get straight back in to the game when Valeron struck the post. With the wood still vibrating after the midfielder shot, the `Tiger 'got his first goal of the night with Koke the provide. After four games without scoring, the Colombian pulled his claws to the fore and decided to feast. The was no time to dwell on the goal, the Tiger quickly made it 3-0 with a sublime finish from the right edge of the penalty area giving the home side a comfortable lead at the break.
The game was decided before the break but the best was yet to come. Atletico continued to domains in the second half and with two goals to his credit Falcao sealed his hat-trick in the 63rd minute from the penalty spot bagging his fifteenth goal in league to mak it 4-0.
The word routine does not exist in the dictionary of the Colombian and he was determined that the night of December 9 would be a special one for him and to all the fans who gathered at the Calderon. The `Tiger 'always wants more as he continued to attack the visitor goal. The 5th goal of the evening soon came, and it was Falcao’s forth with just 67 minutes played. And only a few minutes later, Falcao wrote himself in to the history of the club by netting his 5th goal of the night. No doubt the thousands who attended the banks of the Manzanares can say, without mistake, they lived one of the best individual performances in the history of the club.
The Calderón was a party place and the Atletico fans had witnessed and be part of a magical night.

经过小机器人翻阅资料得出的结论呢，法尔考并不是马竞历史上第一个单场比赛打入5球的球员。1958年12月7日，将近54年前，马竞球员瓦瓦在马竞7:1击败萨拉戈萨的比赛中打入五球，法尔考是第二位做到这个的马竞球员。

Enrique Cerezo: "This is the first time I’ve seen a player score five goals in a game"
The Atletico president already has his mind on the Cup match next Wednesday
Enrique Cerezo, Atletico Madrid president, spoke to the media at the conclusion of the presentation for the rojiblanca Foundation. The president acknowledged he was "pleased and very happy.
