A much awaited event in the history of Boca Juniors took place on October 7 of1995.The great idolDiego Maradona had come back to don the blue and gold jersey after 13 years in Europe and a brief stint in Rosario. It was to be the first comeback of three.
Boca’s team, at the time coached by Silvio Marzolini,stepped onto the field on a Saturday at 6.10 pm, watched by a Bombonera filled to capacity. The Nº 10 had dyed a yellow stripeinto his hair and sported a tiny ring on his left ear.
