When the final whistle went at the Polman Stadium in Almelo on Sunday
afternoon, the contrast in emotions was conspicuous. The hosts were
jubilant after they celebrated their first win of the season, whereas
AZ were feeling dejected after they had suffered their third defeat of

fifteen minutes from time gave them a hard-earned 1-0 victory against
Larissa at the DSB Stadium on Thursday night. AZ have set a new record,
now that <a href="http://www.az.nl/index.php?module=teams&memberID=111">Louis van Gaal</a>’s team has taken their unbeaten home run in European competition to 32 games.</strong><br/><br/>The
DSB Stadium erupted after 76 minutes, when Dembélé blasted home a low
shot. AZ move into the third qualifying place in the group, with four
points from two games, following the Belgium international’s winning
goal.<br/><br/>Medunjanin replaced <a href="http://www.az.nl/index.php?module=teams&memberID=384">Ari</a>
who served a suspension, but the player who usually features for the
reserves this season failed to make an impact on the game. AZ created
most chances in the first period. Only four minutes were on the clock
when Agustien hit the bar and ten minutes from half time Cziommer
seemed to have opened the scoring from a perfect Opdam cross, but the
German midfielder had his goal disallowed for offside.<br/><br/><span style="color: rgb(51, 153, 255);">Waterman
had already been forced to leave the pitch by then. The AZ goalkeeper
had made an awkward landing after he had pushed a ball away, sustaining
an upper leg injury. Romero came on to replace him, while AZ went in
search of a goal. But just like in the two previous UEFA Cup encounters
with Werder Bremen and FC Paços that ended in goalless draws, the
Alkmaar forwards could not break the deadlock.</span><br/><br/>Van Gaal brought
on Pellè thirty minutes from time to strengthen AZ’s attacking options,
although the tall Italian striker has not opened his scoring account
for AZ yet.<br/><br/>AZ made the breakthrough that brought so much relief
after all. After an effort from De Zeeuw had been partially cleared,
the ball fell to Dembélé who blasted home a left-footed shot from the
edge of the box, ending a 290 minute-goal drought in European games at
the DSB Stadium.<br/><br/>With five minutes remaining, Larissa were
reduced to ten men after defender Kotsios was shown a second yellow
card for a foul on Pocognoli. Substitute Jenner came close to doubling
AZ’s advantage, but the forward sent his effort just wide of the goal,
so AZ claimed a narrow, but most welcome 1-0 victory against Larissa.<br/><br/>Earlier
on the day, FC Zenit and Nürnberg drew 2-2 in St. Petersburg. AZ travel

看了上半場感覺還不錯，就是覺得跟後衛的默契還有待加強，出擊還是躁了些...險球倒還可以。
下半場，就斷線了，沒看到 = = 終場前禁區內撲倒對方的樣子，吃小黃+點球，這次沒撲出來，也讓AZ丟掉3分。
可以預見的是，下一場Waterman又會回到先發門將的位置了。
