FIFPRO UNVEILS THE BEST 55 FOOTBALLERS IN THE WORLD

Thursday 18th August 2005

FIFPro (Fédération Internationale des Associations de Footballers Professionnels), the worldwide representative organisation
for all professional footballers, today announced the 55 players shortlisted for the inaugural FIFPro World XI Player Awards.

Between April and July this year the 38,000 professional footballers belonging to the 40 professional organisations across
the world that form FIFPro received voting forms in a secret ballot to nominate their peers for inclusion in their "World XI"
- choosing the four defenders, four midfielders, two forwards and goalkeeper they most admire.

The Premiership in England attracted the most nominees with nineteen, followed by Italy's Serie A with eighteen, Spain's
La Liga with thirteen, the Bundesliga in Germany with three and just two from the Dutch League.

AC Milan heads the list for the most nominations with ten, Chelsea have eight, Real Madrid seven, Manchester United and
Juventus six, Barcelona five, Arsenal four, Bayern Munchen three, Inter and PSV Eindhoven two, and there is one each
from Champions League winners Liverpool and Valencia.

England leads the way with the most players in the short list with ten, followed by nine Brazilians, seven Italians and five
Frenchmen and Argentinians. There are four Dutch and Portuguese players, three Spaniards and two from Germany and
the Czech Republic. Sweden, the Ivory Coast, the Ukraine and Cameroon provide each provide one player in the 55.

The final World XI will be announced at the FIFPro World XI Player Awards ceremony under the shadow of the new
landmark Wembley Stadium arch, at Wembley Conference and Exhibition Centre, London on 19th September 2005, in
front of 1,500 guests and internationally renowned stars from the worlds of sport, music and screen. The awards evening
will be interspersed with spectacular performances from the world's hottest music acts and hosted by a number of
international celebrity guest presenters, many of who will be announced shortly.The awards evening will be the world's
first and only international player-voted football awards ever staged and broadcast globally. Sky One will exclusively
broadcast the ceremony in the UK on 20th September 2005.

There will also be three further awards presented at the awards evening - the World Player of the Year, awarded to whoever
in the World XI receives the most votes, the FIFPro Legend award voted for by the FIFPro Awards Committee, and the
Young Player of the Year voted for by fans across the globe in the only public voting category of the awards.

Theo van Seggelen, General-Secretary of FIFPro, said: "There are no greater football critics than the players themselves. To
be recognised by your fellow professionals from across the world will be a unique honour. As professionals they know
what it takes to reach the very top of the world game and as the world players' body it is only right that we give
recognition to this talent."

The awards will be broadcast to a global audience of over 150 million viewers. The TV show will be produced by Celador
Music & Events (a subsidiary of Celador International), whose production team includes some of the most experienced and
respected names in live television entertainment (with credits including Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? and The BRIT
Awards.) and who promise to deliver a visually stunning show using pioneering state-of-the-art production techniques.

Guy Freeman, Managing Director of Celador Music and Events, said: "The world's greatest footballers and music artists will
be sharing the same spectacular stage for the first time in what we believe will become one of the most highly anticipated
global events in the annual awards calendar"

The FIFPro World XI Player Awards will be produced by Celador Music & Events (a subsidiary of Celador International),
following an agreement in October 2004 with RAM Investment Group PLC to acquire the production rights to the event.

ETO'O就根本不应该出现在候选名单内(总不能弄个候选就几十号子人吧?顶多10个)

SHEVA就那样 实力是有但是是不是是最佳...... 仁者见仁的事了...

我的观点从来不变:"从对队伍的支持,和对足球的各种技战术角度考虑,以及个人能力综合各种参数考虑hernan.crespo是前锋第一人."

他是全能王.

挨托奥还是有实力的,最起码巴萨离了他,就算有小罗,也还是少了点什么~~
舍瓦的实力早被米兰中场养得快没了,他聪明的话就别转会,不然嘛。。。

波近年的不顺摆在那儿了,评不上就评不上呗~~反正现在评上的那两人也难以服众~~

我那天突发奇想,如果吉拉迪诺去巴萨的话,应该能大红大紫一番...巴萨就是前场的进攻组合太厉害了 而吉拉迪诺是这些年来我觉得最接近crespo风格的前锋了,他的全面性应该会在巴萨发挥的淋漓尽致.至于ETO'O么......我就不多说了 反正我觉得一般 和德罗巴一样 不过好像在射门技巧上比德罗巴强点(--_--||...   不知道为什么突然想起那天看到李毅居然扣过门将 打入一球的镜头NB... )


SHEVA实力还是有的,但是人一旦老了,没有了赖以生存的速度,他就不好使了......crespo一直就不是速度型而是全面型 所以混的时间长点 嘿嘿...

无论怎样 crespo千万别有伤病了等2006年拿个世界杯+金球奖+金靴奖,然后退隐江湖,和妻子女儿好好生活嘿嘿 可以谢幕了.

意大利这几年挺郁闷的,实力有,但是就是感觉场上没有那股拼劲.....而且某些人总耍大牌,让我很厌恶.

不过队里的帅哥是真多,女球迷很多   --_--||...

吉拉迪诺如果能在米兰顺利的打2年球 应该能成为巨星,走着看吧.

切儿西又赢了,真悍,可惜克雷斯波没有进球 先弄个英超冠军为明年的世界杯打打气也好.

怀念大一和大三的时候和兄弟们一起看世界杯和欧洲杯的日子 ......
